We didn't set out to start a furniture company.
We started with homes.
Before RISA, we spent our time designing spaces for people, understanding how they live, what they need, what they love, and sometimes, what they absolutely don't.
And somewhere along the way, we kept seeing the same problem.
Finding good furniture was harder than it should be.
You could find beautiful pieces, but they didn't quite fit the room. You could find something that fit, but the proportions felt wrong. You could order a piece online and hope the finish looked like the photograph. Or you could spend weeks going from one vendor to another trying to put an entire home together.
For us, that never made sense.
So we decided to build it differently.
RISA began with a simple idea:
Furniture should be designed around the way you live, not the other way around.
We started designing our own pieces, developing collections rather than isolated products, and working closely with the people who actually make them.
Today, our furniture is designed by our team and manufactured with our manufacturing partners, with every material, finish, proportion and detail considered before it reaches your home.
We work primarily with plywood, carefully selected laminates and reliable hardware because we want the things inside your home to be as thoughtfully made as the things you see.
But materials are only one part of it.
The part we care about most is you.
We know that buying furniture isn't a small decision.
You're choosing something that will sit in your home every day. You'll see it when you wake up, use it when friends come over, store your things in it, move around it, and eventually attach memories to it.
That's why we don't want RISA to feel like a catalogue.

If you're furnishing an entire home and don't know where to begin, we'll help you work through it.
And if something can be designed better for your space, we'd rather know about it than simply sell you what is already on the website.
From our workshop to your home.
There is a lot that happens between an idea and the furniture you eventually bring home.
Drawings are refined. Materials are selected. Boards are cut. Edges are finished. Hardware is fitted. Surfaces are checked. Pieces are assembled and inspected.
We work closely with our manufacturing team through this process because we don't believe design ends when the drawing is finished.
The way something is made is part of the design.
That's also why we're able to offer custom sizing and solutions when a standard piece isn't quite right for your home.
RISA is still growing.
We're not a giant furniture company with thousands of products.
And honestly, we don't want to be.
We'd rather have fewer things that we've thought about properly.
Collections that work together. Furniture that feels considered. Materials we can stand behind. And a team that actually knows what went into the piece you're buying.
We're building RISA slowly, one home at a time.
And every time someone sends us a photograph of their finished home, tells us that something finally fit perfectly, or says that a piece has become their favourite part of the room, it reminds us why we started.
