Merino Laminate

The surface that gives RISA its character.
The finish of a piece is often the first thing you notice. But laminate isn't only about colour and texture. It is a carefully manufactured surface designed to make furniture practical enough for everyday life.
Laminate is made by pressing layers of kraft paper, decorative paper and resin together under high heat and pressure. The decorative layer creates the look, while the compressed layers underneath give the surface its strength and durability.
We use Merino laminates across our furniture because they give us the freedom to create everything from quiet, understated finishes to richer textures and colours, while remaining practical for everyday homes.
Why we choose it
Consistent colour and texture.
Resistant to everyday wear.
Easy to clean and maintain.
Available in a wide range of finishes.
For everyday care, a soft damp cloth is usually enough. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemicals, standing water and placing extremely hot objects directly on the surface.
It is the part you see every day.
So we want it to age beautifully.
