MR Grade Plywood
The structure you don't see. The difference you feel.
A piece of furniture can look beautiful on the outside, but its real quality begins underneath. At RISA, we use MR Grade plywood as the structural core of our furniture because we want the pieces to feel solid, stable and dependable long after they leave our workshop.
Plywood is made by bonding thin layers of natural wood veneer together, with each layer placed in a different grain direction. This cross-layer construction gives it strength and stability, while allowing it to hold screws and hardware securely, important qualities for wardrobes, beds, storage and everyday furniture.
Why we choose it
Strong where it needs to be.
Stable through everyday use.
Good screw and hardware holding.
Made for interior applications.
MR stands for Moisture Resistant, but it does not mean waterproof. It is designed for interior environments, not prolonged exposure to water. That's why we always recommend keeping the furniture dry, wiping spills quickly and avoiding direct contact with damp walls.
What you see is the finish.
What holds it together is the plywood.
